Privacy notice
This is a short notice because this is a simple website. It loads nothing from advertising networks, and it only counts visits with Google Analytics if you say yes to the question at the bottom of the page. The only personal details it handles are the ones you choose to send me.

The contact form
When you send an enquiry I receive your name, the email address or phone number you give, and what you wrote about the job. I use those details to reply to you and, if you go ahead, to arrange and carry out the work. I do not add you to a mailing list and I do not pass your details to anyone else for marketing.
The form is delivered to my inbox by an email sending service, Resend, which processes the message in order to deliver it. Enquiry emails are kept in my mailbox for as long as I need them to deal with the job, and deleted after that.
If you phone, message me on WhatsApp or email me directly, the same applies: I keep what I need to do the job and nothing more.
Cookies and tracking
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read, but only after you press “Allow” on the notice at the bottom of the page. Until then nothing is loaded from Google and no analytics cookies are set. If you allow it, Google sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) that last up to two years, and receives your IP address, browser details and the pages you visit; Google’s own privacy policy applies to that data. Choose “No thanks” and the site remembers that choice in your browser instead. No advertising or social media tracking scripts are used. Fonts are served from this site rather than from a third party.
One thing is stored in your browser, not on any server: the colour visualiser remembers the scene and colours you last chose so they are still there if you come back. That stays on your device, never leaves it, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Hosting and logs
Like any website, the server that hosts this one records basic technical information about requests, such as the address the request came from and the page asked for, for security and to keep the site running. I do not use those records to identify visitors.
Links to other sites
The site links to my Google Business Profile, my Facebook page, and on the colour visualiser page to paint manufacturers’ own websites. Those sites have their own privacy notices and set their own cookies once you are there.
Your rights
You can ask what details I hold about you, ask for them to be corrected or deleted, or object to how they are used, by emailing the address above. If you are not happy with my answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If the site ever starts using embedded maps or any other third-party service, this notice will be updated first.
